Our Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, is a pioneer of Computer education and research in Bangladesh. He has a very long and successful career in the area of higher education in Bangladesh. He has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University (DIU), Dhaka on 26 April 2020. Previously Dr. Rahman served DIU as the Vice Chancellor (2011-2015) and Emeritus Professor (2015-2020). He was the founding Vice-Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, Bangladesh (2008-2009) and the founding Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka. He also worked as the Director of Computer Centre (now Institute of Information Technology), University of Dhaka from 1994 to 1998. He also worked as Professor of Computer Science in Independent University Bangladesh (2002-2004).
